Peace to the Splash Crew in Paris. They’re doing it right over there. Like a lot of US Dubsteppers, they came from the world of Drum and Bass. They just started throwing Dubstep events in the last year and have gotten the formula right so far.
This video is from their 3rd installment of the “Splash Dubstep” party on February 13th, 2010 in Paris at the Glazart. It was a crazy night. In Paris, they start they’re parties at midnight and go until 7am. It was cool to see everyone flood in the venue at midnight rather than watching a room gradually fill up from 10-12 like we do in the US. The kids in Paris were definitely feeling the vibes. From midinight until 7am, the club was rockin.
Massive respect to Niveau Zero, Reso, Hatcha, Dr. P, Olivier, Arnaud, Thomas, and the rest of the Paris crew!

These guys have been making alot of noise over the last few months. Their releases on Play Me records have been smashing the charts and they’re playing out all over the place. Their tunes are refreshing and have a sound of their own. We’ve been rockin their tunes pretty hard since we discovered them. This is the first mix of theirs that we’ve gotten our hands on and we’re loving it! Great track selection and smooth mixing.
HavocNdeeD is a dubstep based production and live performance crew. It’s members, OB-One and J. Paul, come from various musical backgrounds ranging from punk, industrial, drum-n-bass to hip hop & reggae. These styles helped shape their production style to create a unique sound on their own. Ok, so we met Marmoset on our trips down to Baltimore for Dub Nation. He’s a resident at Dub Nation and has shared the stage with Emalkay, 16bit, Rusko, Joe Nice, and Joker to name a few. Our good friend, the Audible Doctor drops his new EP today and sent us a copy to share with our blog readers. This is NYC Hip Hop at its finest. The Audible Doctor also happens to be one of the members of underground powerhouse, the Brown Bag Allstars and is a manager at Fat Beats NYC. The Crackers EP is mostly instrumentals with a few vocal tracks mixed in as well. Keep up the solid work homie!

After DZ’s massive performance at Santos Party House for Trouble and Bass last weekend, the badman himself came by the Methods Store to pick up the newest designs. Fellow Badman Press Artist Kozee came along for her first visit to the store all the way from San Francisco. These are two artist to watch this year, starting with their shows at this year’s Winter Music Conference in Miami.
